






Young people of secondary school age are referred through the Psychological Services of the Education Departments of placing authorities.
The young people attending St Francis have experienced difficulty in mainstream education and can have additional social, emotional and behavioural needs which are best met within specialist education.
Young people at St Francis are taught in small groups with a maximum of six pupils. The young people are offered additional support by a group of staff qualified either in social work or social care.
Each young person has a keyworker who offers constructive support to the young person and if necessary their family.
Individualised Educational Plans are drawn up by the young person's tutor teacher.
