Welcome to Education

 

Education in the Good Shepherd Secure/Close Support Unit is designed to engage the Young Person in the learning process and provide them with the opportunity to achieve and attain.

In support of these aims Young People have access to:

  • Small class sizes of 4 per class
  • A committed and sympathetic education staff 
  • A wide curriculum to enable response to individual needs, interests and abilities 
  • The availability of educational pursuits outwith the formal school day


Furthermore the Good Shepherd Secure/Close Support Unit aims to ensure that every Young Person has the opportunity to be:

  • A successful learner
  • A confident individual 
  • A responsible citizen 
  • An effective contributor
